Get Ready for the Next Generation of Sim Racing with Assetto Corsa EVO

The sim racing community is buzzing with excitement over the upcoming release of Assetto Corsa EVO, the latest installment in the beloved racing simulation franchise. Kunos Simulazioni has just dropped the first trailer for Assetto Corsa EVO, and it's packed with tantalizing glimpses of what's to come. From new cars and tracks to dynamic weather and time cycles, Assetto Corsa EVO promises to be a significant step forward for the series.

Early Access Release Date

Mark your calendars, sim racers! Assetto Corsa EVO will launch in Early Access on Steam on January 16, 2025. While the initial release will be PC-only, console versions for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S are planned for later.

New Cars and Features

The trailer showcases a diverse range of cars, including the BMW M4 CSL (G82), Mercedes-AMG GT2, Lotus Emira, McLaren 765LT, Ferrari 296 GTB, and the Ferrari Daytona SP3, making its first official appearance in a racing title outside of the mobile market. A classic Mini, a Morgan Super 3, and both the original and current versions of the Volkswagen Golf GTI also make appearances.

But the excitement doesn't stop there. Assetto Corsa EVO will introduce dynamic time and weather, including a full 24-hour cycle and advanced rain effects. The graphics have also been significantly enhanced, with detailed reflections and lighting adding to the immersion.

Track Speculation

While Brands Hatch, Imola, and the Nürburgring Nordschleife were confirmed tracks, the trailer hints at the possibility of Suzuka and Fuji being included as well. Even more intriguing is the inclusion of public roads near the Nürburgring, suggesting the possibility of open-world driving and even traffic.
